nl Witham   rivier in het graafschap Lincolnshire die bij Wymondham ontspringt en na 132 km in The Haven in de Wash uitmondt. De rivier is vanaf de Fossdyke Navigation over 58,7 km bevaarbaar. Vanaf de Grand Sluice Lock is de Witham een getijrivier. Naast de Grand Sluice die 1766 werd gebouwd en 1811 werd vergroot zijn er nog twee sluizen. de Witham Fluß, der bei Wymondham in Lincolnshire entspringt und nach 132 km in The Haven in der Grafschaft Lincolnshire in den Fluß Wash mündet. Die schiffbare Strecke von 58,7 km beginnt beim Abzweig der Fossdyke Navigation in Lincolnshire, wovon die unteren 6,9 km unterhalb des Grand Sluice Lock im Gezeitengebiet liegen.
Neben der 1766 gebauten, 1881 vergrößerten Grand Sluice hat der Fluß zwei weitere Schleusen. In Boston zweigt ein 26,5 km langer Kanal, die Black Sluice Navigation ab.
en River Witham The Witham Navigation runs from Lincoln High Bridge, where it joins the Fossdyke Navigation The Fossdyke Navigation is 36.5 miles long and has three locks. The non-tidal section runs to Grand Sluice Lock at Boston, which is tidal, and thereafter the river runs into the Wash at the outlet of Hobhole Drain.
The Witham Navigation has junctions with the Sleaford Navigation (junction at Chapel Hill), Horncastle Navigation (derelict but restoration proposed), the Witham Navigable Drains (junction at Anton's Gowt), with Black Sluice Drain (below Grand Sluice Lock, on the tidal section) and with a number of other small drains and river sections that are navigable or once were.
