nl koers boven   op een radarscherm, een van de basisweergaves (> noord boven, > vooruit, > ware beweging). In deze modus verschijnen de echo's van de doelen in de gemeten afstand en richting met betrekking tot een van te voren ingestelde koers, die op het beeldscherm naar boven gericht is.

en (base) course up on a radarscope one of the three basic orientations (> north up, > head up, > true motion). In the base course up mode the target pips are painted at their measured distances and in their directions relative to a preset base course of own ship maintained up in relation to the display. This orientation is most often used with automated radar plotting systems.
