	Atlantische Noord-Equatoriaal-Stroom		een brede, langzaam in westelijke richting stromende zeestroom, die voornamelijk ontstaat door de noord-oost passaat. De stroom heeft zijn oorsprong bij 26 lengtegraden W, tussen ca. 15 en 30 breedtegraden N, vanwaar hij de Atlantische oceaan doorstroomt voorbij de 60ste lengtedraad W. In de nabijheid van de Benedenwindse Eilanden vormt hij de Antillenstroom. Het gedeelte van de stroming tussen 12 graden Noord en 15 graden Noord voegt zich bij de Guyanastroom en vormt de Caribische stroom.
	Atlantischer Nordäquatorialstrom		ein breiter, langsam in westlicher Richtung fließender Meeresstrom, der hauptsächlich durch die Nordost-Passatwinde hervorgerufen wird. Der Strom nimmt seinen Ursprung bei 26° westlicher Länge zwischen 15° und 30° nördlicher Breite, von wo er seinen Weg über den Atlantik vorbei an 60° westlicher Länge nimmt. Er bildet in der Nähe der Inseln unter dem Wind den Antillenstrom. Der Teil des Stroms zwischen 12°N und 15°N verbindet sich mit dem Guyanastrom zum Karibikstrom.
	Atlantic North Equatorial Current		a broad, slow, westward flowing ocean current generated mainly by the northeast trade winds. The current originates near longitude 26°W between about latitude 15°N and 30°N and flows across the ocean past longitude 60°W. It forms the Antilles current in the vicinity of the Leeward Islands. The part of the current between 12°N and 15°N joins the Guyana Current and forms the Caribbean Current.
